维尼·琼斯，1965年1月5日在英格兰的沃特福，从影前他是作为一名足球运动员，身高为188CM的他先是效力于威尔德斯通，1986年转会到温布尔顿足球俱乐部，他创下的职业球赛中开场3秒的最快黄牌纪录至今无人能破，尽管有着多项不良纪录，维尼仍不失为一个颇有才华的球员，1999年他退出在绿茵场，从拍广告入手，开始向娱乐圈发展，他生动的表演成为影片最难忘的亮点之一，并为他赢得一项帝国最佳首演奖。
《两杆老烟枪》后，维尼·琼斯陆续出演了《极速60秒》（Gone In 60 Seconds）、《偷拐抢骗》（Snatch）等影片，与尼克拉斯·凯奇（Nicholas Cage）、杰森·斯坦森（Jason Statham）、布拉德·皮特（Brad Pitt）等大明星配戏。他的努力再次获得帝国奖，这次是最佳英国男演员奖。出演了2001年影片《剑鱼行动》（Swordfish）后，维尼终于迎来了《监狱风波》（Mean Machine）中的主演角色。与此同时，他还一展歌喉，于2002年推出首张布鲁斯和灵魂歌曲专辑《Respect》。
